Aol sold Patch in January to Hale Global, which brought changes, including staff layoffs. ManyRead Moretalen ted editors and colleagues had their positions eliminated by Aol just before the deal closed. Patch readers value local news above all else. We do, too. That's why we joined Patch. And that's why we've decided to rebuild the company. We need to find a way make this financially sustainable over the long haul. What you're seeing now is a company in the midst of a major transition. In many Patches, editors were beloved and the local news was well read. In many of our towns, passionate readers who expect a lot made their Patch a special place. In our rebuild, we want to find a way to get all of our Patches to that place. What you're seeing on Odenton Patch is by no means perfect. But have patience. We're committed to bringing you a new Patch, with an emphasis on grassroots local. Tell us what you like. Tell us what you want. Post your announcements and photos on the Boards so they can be shared with neighbors. Please give us a little time to re-tool and grow.

Perhaps a plan should have been in place before the purchase? By the time you figure it out youRead Morewon' t have any readers left. It can't be that hard to have people in place to find/write local stories.

If the new Patch can not get back to how it was and with people who care about our Community, then Read Morethe new Patch will not succeed.

I had Lasik about ten years ago. I did have the starbursts while driving at night for about theRead Morefir st year, but it hasn't been a problem since. You also do have dry eyes for quite a while but nothing that drops can't fix. I am very happy with my decision to do it and my vision is a billion times better.

Of course; depressed economic environment, high unemployment rate, more residents, and fewer police Read Moreequal increased crime. It will continue to rise unless the County Executive puts more cops on the payroll.

Marc, have you contacted police? They can at least be notified so they can be on the lookout forRead Morehim . Maybe you'll luck out and he'll have outstanding warrants.

Thanks Tim, I'll contact the police tomorrow. I guess it wouldn't hurt. I'm really shocked nobody Read Moreelse has commented about the guy yet...as I've seen this type of driving from him at least 5-6 different times.

So far, the hill at GORC Park is the best I can come up with. We usually go to the hill at LaurelRead MoreHo spital but that's too far.
