Yogurt Shop Coming to Piney Orchard

Tutti Frutti Frozen Yogurt will open next month at the Piney Orchard Marketplace.

Piney Orchard is getting in on the frozen yogurt craze.

A new Tutti Frutti store will open next month at the Piney Orchard Marketplace, offering self-serve, soy-based yogurt.

The store will be operated by Shyam Enterprises. Nearby tenants said it is the same operator as the new Subway restaurant in the shopping center.

A look at Tutti Frutti's website shows 47 different flavors and a wide selection of toppings.

This Tutti Frutti store is the latest in a series of yogurt shops moving into west Anne Arundel County. Tutti Frutti also opened a store near Arundel Mills, to go along with Yogurt Mountain and Yogi Castle locations. Meanwhile, Yolavie recently opened a store at the Waugh Chapel Towne Centre.

Honestly I am so happy that a yogurt shop is coming close to home. I disliked having to fight traffic everywhere to get to the good shops in the area. The best in the area for me has been a little kiosk in the columbia mall called Yogiberry. Now if we could only get a Red Mango to come down here and set up shop as they have the best frozen yogurt I have ever had but I hope that this new place is on par. Sweet Frog is another good one that I fell in love with when I lived in Williamsburg, VA as they serve original tart pretty much all the time. Hopefully we can get some more original tart action around here!

Wow that's quite a few yogurt shops within a small distance!!
I've been to the Yogi Castle in Arundel Mills numerous times and it is wonderful!
I stopped in at the Tutti Frutti in Arundel Mills once to see how it compared to the Yogi Castle and there was no comparison; it was about 1/2 the size and had about 1/2 the yogurt flavors and toppings.

I hope at least one of these shops is able to hang around after this craze is over. Anyone remember the top-your-own-potato shops in the mid-80s? :-D

I agree. There was the TCBY craze that build to such a fever pitch that there was one on every block. Now where are they. Just my opinion, but you need to sell a heck of a lot of yogurt to pay all the bills.

Soy based yogurt? I was wondering why they were opening a yogurt place so close to a Baskin-Robbins. But soy based is an option I would like.

Good luck to this business. Their menu looks great! I don't know that there will be much competition between Baskin-Robbins and Tutti Frutti. Either you want real ice cream or you don't. I hope they have heavy duty toilets for the people with digestive issues who eat soy.

Good luck in a dead shopping center with Dunkin Donuts as an anchor shop. Another Tutti Frutti build-out for all the wrong cause, read reviews on this franchise!
