Ah, the first full week of autumn is here. The air is crisper, the leaves will soon begin to turn, and your high schooler will eventually be forced to wear long pants. 

Here's a look at some of the things coming up this week in the west Anne Arundel County area. 

Meeting About School Redistricting in Crofton

When: Monday, 7 p.m.
Where: Nantucket Elementary School

Details: This will be the first meeting of a committee dedicated to studying redistricting options for schools in the Crofton area. There may also be discussion of the proposed Evergreen Elementary School (AKA Two Rivers Elementary.)

Orioles BUCKle UP Rally in Severn

When: Thursday, 2-3 p.m.
Where: Walmart, 407 George Clauss Blvd., Severn

Details: The Oriole Bird will lead a rally as the O's continue their run for the playoffs. Team staff will have ticket giveaways and other gear. At this point, there is no Orioles player scheduled to appear. 

Arundel Football vs. North County

When: Friday, 6:30 p.m.
Where: Arundel High School

Details: After throttling South River last week, the Wildcats look to remain undefeated. North County is coming off a win over Annapolis.  

Bandage Drive at Chick fil-A

When: Thursday-Saturday, 6:30 a.m. -10:30 p.m.
Where: Chick fil-A, Village at Waugh Chapel

Details: Come in with a box of bandages or a donation, and get a coupon for a free mini-sundae.

Crofton Festival on the Green

When: Saturday, 10 a.m.- 4 p.m.
Where: Crofton Country Club 

Details: This annual event will feature plenty of vendors, food an entertainment as Crofton welcomes fall.
