VFW Meade Memorial Post 5172 in Odenton is on the move.

The veterans group announced on its Facebook page that it will now hold meetings at the West County Area Library, and also will change the day and time of meetings.

It had previously met at the Odenton Masonic lodge on Stehlik Drive.

The group said in November it will begin meeting on the third Wednesday of each month at 7:30 p.m.

The post has been a big supporter of veterans locally, holding an annual Memorial Day ceremony and participating in community events, including a recent flag-retirement ceremony with the Boy Scouts.

The VFW is open to anyone who has served honorably in the United States armed forces and received a campaign medal for service. The membership fee is $20.
