Union Station Platform Gets Upgrade, More to Come
Track 14 is now back open for MARC commuters. Work on other tracks is ongoing.
Anyone who uses MARC to commute into Washington, DC is aware of the ongoing track improvements at Union Station.
MARC and Amtrak announced this week that Track 14 is back in service, and said customers should notice a wider platform.
Track 13 is the next track to go out of service. The full Track 13/14 will be complete by late November or early December, MARC said.
Amtrak said the Track 9/10 and Track 11/12 platforms will get upgrades sometime in 2013.
