Steak House Coming to Maryland Live! Casino

The Prime Rib is the latest restaurant that will be part of the new complex that could open at Arundel Mills as early as June.

Maryland Live! Casino announced Wednesday that The Prime Rib, a fine-dining steak house, will be part of the complex at Arundel Mills.

The restaurant will reportedly have a live piano bar and a menu featuring USDA Prime steaks and seafood. The Prime Rib Restaurant opened in Baltimore in 1965 to "evoke the elegant supper clubs of 1940s Manhattan," according to a release. The restaurant also has locations in Washington, DC and Philadelphia.

Other restaurants at Maryland Live! will include Bobby's Burger Palace, The Cheesecake Factory and Phillips Seafood.

“The addition of The Prime Rib to our culinary offerings reinforces our commitment to present world-class dining experiences at Maryland Live! Casino,” said Joe Weinberg, managing partner of The Cordish Cos., in a release. “As a local company, we know the value of showcasing other well-known and respected Maryland businesses, such as The Prime Rib and Phillips, and welcome them to our lineup of nationally-acclaimed restaurant brands.”

The casino is scheduled to open in June—pending approval from the Maryland State Lottery Agency, according to a release.

Awe I guess that is good. I thought they were going to initially put a Ruth Chris there. That is what I was looking forward too, not having to travel to Annapolis or DC for their sweet potato casserole. Oh well. I guess I will give the prime rib a whirl and see how that is.

I am with you. I was waiting for (and excited about) Ruth Chris being there.
I LOVE their sweet potato casserole myself. We just went there (Annapolis location) last weekend to celebrate V-Day.

This is just my take on the Prime Rib coming to Arundel Mills - that they're gonna get slaughtered. It's an extremely expensive ($40 to $50 entree) restaurant that does well in downtown Baltimore.

I predict total nuclear failure at the casino because it's just slots. I worked at the Riviera in Vegas for just over 4 years and table games attract the high dollar crowd. No offense, but slots attracts the low income crowd and it's definitely not the type of people who are going to pay a $100+ tab for two people.

I have to agree with John. This is going to be a all-you-can-eat buffet type of crowd.

I would also have to agree with John.

I would agree to some extent. Having slots opens the doors for game table in 2 years. Once that money starts coming in the cash-hungry politicians may open up the flood gates. I'd probably be ore concerned with the Prime Rib. can only hope Phillips brings in a Buffet.
