Anne Arundel County Board of Education member Andrew Pruski said he will vote against the proposal for a new elementary school near the planned Two Rivers development, citing concerns over a lack of public discussion.

Pruski and other board members heard from many local residents opposing the current proposal by Koch Homes and Classic Community Cos. to pay $38 million for a new elementary school. The school would accomodate students from the 2,000 homes planned at Two Rivers.

Pruski is a resident of the Four Seasons community in Gambrills.

The school board will hear the full presentation Wednesday and could vote on the proposal.

The following is the full text of his response to residents:

"I wanted to take an opportunity to thank you for taking the time to write to me and the Anne Arundel County Board of Education. I agree with each of the concerns raised in your e-mails regarding the Two Rivers proposal. While it is premature to discuss the item prior to our board meeting, I wanted to let you know that I will be voting against this proposal in its current form. As a former community association President, I feel that all projects need to be properly vetted and discussed with everyone that will be impacted."
