Police Search for Suspect in My Place Shooting
Police have an arrest warrant for Raynard Leo Boston, 25, and plan to charge him with attempted murder and assault.
Anne Arundel County police obtained an arrest warrant for a man in connection to a shooting at the My Place Bar and Lounge in Odenton on Saturday.
Police said they are seeking the whereabouts of Raynard Leo Boston, 25, and have a warrant to charge him with attempted second-degree murder and first-degree assault among other crimes. Detectives said Boston got into an argument with the bouncer at about 1:25 a.m. Saturday at the My Place bar and shot at him several times, striking him in the legs. A 34-year-old man who was nearby also got shot, according to police.
Both shooting victims were hospitalized with injuries that were not life-threatening. Police searched the area but could not find Boston, who once lived in Severn but now has no fixed address.
Due to prior offenses, Boston was not permitted to be carrying a firearm, police said.
Online court records show that Boston pleaded guilty in 2011 to an assault charge stemming from an incident in 2005. He was sentenced to time served and released.
Anyone with information about the case is asked to call Detective Kevin Carberry of the Anne Arundel County Police Western District at 410-222-6155. Boston is considered armed and dangerous, and anyone with information about his location is urged to call 911.
