Police Say Man Robbed Cab Driver at Wal-Mart

The cab driver picked up a man at the Patapsco Light Rail station and took him to Wal-Mart, where he was robbed, according to police.

 

A cab driver reported being robbed at knife point after taking a passenger to the Wal-Mart near Arundel Mills on Sunday morning, Anne Arundel County police said. 

According to a police press release, the 43-year-old cab driver told police he picked up a man at the Patapsco Light Rail Station and drove him to the Wal-Mart, located at the 700 block of Arundel Mills Circle. When he arrived at the Wal-Mart, the suspect pulled out a knife and robbed the driver of an undetermined amount of money, police said.

The suspect then ran to the back of the Wal-Mart, but police were unable to find him.

The victim, a driver for Bel Air Sedan and Van Service, was not hurt.

Police described the suspect as a black man in his late 20s to early 30s, with a medium complexion and light mustache. He was wearing blue jeans and a light blue jacket with white stripes around the arms, and was also carrying a backpack.
