Police Report Burglary String in Severn, Glen Burnie
Anne Arundel County police are seeking the public's help in investigating a series of home break-ins during the last week.
Anne Arundel County police are seeking the public’s help in investigating a series of burglaries in Severn and southwest Glen Burnie over the last week.
According to an email alert sent by the Anne Arundel County Police Department’s Western District, officers have received reports of at least seven home break-ins near Clark Station Road and the Parke West Community.
Police said they have increased patrols in the area and are actively investigating each incident.
All of the burglaries took place during the day, police said, and in one of the incidents, two men were seen in a silver compact car.
Police spokesman Justin Mulcahy said the incidents all took place between Feb. 2-3.
"Detectives are looking into the possibility that the incidents may be related based on the common denominators such as the short span of time that they took place, the incidents taking place in the daytime and the incidents occurring in the same general area," he said in an email.
Anyone with information on these burglaries is encouraged to contact the Western District Detective Unit by calling 410-222-6155, and pressing “6.”
Police also said residents should call 911 if they see anything suspicious, including unfamiliar people walking around the neighborhood or an unfamiliar vehicle moving slowly or parked in the community.
The burglarized homes were in the following areas, according to police:
- 8000 block of Clark Road, Severn
- 100 block of Edelton Avenue, Severn
- 700 block of Neath Lane, Glen Burnie
- 8300 block of Dubbs Drive, Severn
- 7900 block of Myers Drive, Glen Burnie
- 8000 block of Clark Station Road, Severn
- 1300 block of Donald Avenue, Severn

"People need to get an alarm system on there house" . Well I'm glad no one was hurt, because someone could have been home at the time and gotten hurt. Catch Them, Lock Them Up, And Throw Away The Keys.
