Police Arrest 2 in Robbery at Royal Inn
The arrests came just hours after officers responded to a drug-related dispute at the motel.
Anne Arundel County police arrested two people in connection to a robbery at the Royal Inn early Saturday morning.
Police said in a press release that they responded at about 12:30 a.m. Saturday and spoke to a 23-year-old man who said he was robbed. The victim told police that he was in his room with the door open when a man and woman entered. The victim told police that the man pushed him down and demanded his property. The victim handed over his cell phone and some money.
According to police, the suspects then entered another room in the motel. Officers who responded to the scene saw two people matching the descriptions of the suspects and arrested them.
Police arrested James Anthony Reid, 22, of Baltimore and Tameka Dereese Wright, 35, of Odenton.
Specific charges for Reid were not yet publicly available. An online search showed that Wright was charged with theft, robbery and burglary, as well as five counts of leaving a child unattended.
The arrests came just hours after police arrested three other people in connection to a dispute over drugs.

Does anybody know if there are any courses of action that us residents of Seven Oaks have to get this crime infested business shut down for good?

The only way I can see that happen is to become involved on the civic level. That is my intention. I have only lived here a short while and that place is terrible. Check out some of the civic organizations.
