Perry's Restaurant will celebrate its 40th anniversary on Wednesday, and will thank customers with free t-shirts and specials on food.
The local family-owned eatery will give out free t-shirts, and had invited customers to come in for $2 beers, half-price burgers and its popular cornhole games out front.
Kristos Miliotis has served as general manager for the last five years, taking over for his father, Perry, who opened it in 1971. It has survived a fire and several economic downturns, but has remained one of the most recognizable businesses in Odenton.
"You just have to thank the customers in our business when you have this kind of following," Kristos Miliotis said.
