New CVS Open Near Traffic Circle

The pharmacy opened over the weekend in the Odenton Gateway complex.

The new CVS in east Odenton is now open.

The drug store opened quietly over the weekend near the corner of Sappington Station and Odenton Roads, bringing to completion the Odenton Gateway development.

I stopped by the new CVS late last night but the store was closed, indicating that it is not a 24-hour store (at least not yet.) Hours have not yet been posted by the door, and the CVS corporate website has not yet advertised the opening.

From the outside, the store appears similar in shape and size to the Walgreens on Piney Orchard Parkway. There are two lanes for a drive-thru pharmacy and plenty of parking.

The CVS store across the street in the Odenton Shopping Center is now closed.

If you stop by the new CVS, let us know your experience.

Browsed through the new store last night. Certainly a lot cleaner (should be, it's new) and aisles less crowded. Even the employees seemed to be in better spirits. Just a shame that the shopping center loses another business. A lot of holes left with no announced prospects.

It's a shame that new projects are being built and occupied while that outdated eyesore of an Odenton Shopping Center just gets more empty and forlorn.

I don't blame CVS one bit taking taking the first opportunity to get out of that nasty plaza.

It won't be long before the shopping center will have more vacant space than actual stores.

The only merchant in there that I care about is Hunan L'Rose. They are fantastic and run a wonderful quality restaurant.
If they can move to a nearby newer location, then I say raze that whole thing!!!!

I am sad for the people who live in the Low Income Senior Appartments and Catholic
Appartments on Odenton Road. The ones who have to use Motor Wheel Chairs depended on CVS Old Location . Do not know how they will Navigate the Roundabout to get to CVS, same problem for them to get to Walgreens.

My understanding is Hunan L'Rose is for sale as well. Won't be much left in there soon.

Do you mean that the business is for sale? The building (entire strip) is owned by one entity. The sisters who own Hunan L'Rose have built quite the following and reputation over the years. I wonder why they'd sell it? Unless they want to retire.

I frequent several of the stores in the strip mall - Dollar Tree, Subway, UPS Store, the dry cleaners, 3 Brothers, and 5 Guys are all great stores! I am glad to have them nearby.

Why is taking so long for the Management company to fill the vacant spots? Suggestion for Super Fresh spot - Old Country Buffett or similar restaurant!

I wonder if the Management company has the rent too high?

How about an upscale restaurant like The Melting Pot or Fogo De Chao?
