Some people go crazy with lights at Christmas. But Bryan Hagan has brought his love of holiday animation to Halloween as well.
The Gambrills resident has decked out his house with a thousands of lights, and set them to move to music.
Hagan, who always does a big Christmas display, said he was inspired by his son.
"He said, 'what's the biggest holiday next to Christmas?' And I said, 'well, Halloween. I guess we can have some lights." Hagan said.
The house on Ice Crystal Court in the Courts of Four Seasons has been a popular destination for local residents, and Hagan said the neighbors don't seem to mind.
Hagan used special software to program the lights in order to move to a series of Halloween-themed tunes. Music includes popular favorites like Michael Jackson's Thriller, the theme from Ghostbusters and Marilyn Manson's This is Halloween. Visitors will hear the music by programming their car radio to a specific station.
Hagan said there are about 8,000 lights, most of them either LED or RPG. He said it took about two months to prepare and install the display.
Hagan is not a trained light technician, but owns a local heating, cooling and air conditioning company.
"It definitely takes a lot of time," he said. "I don't want to go too crazy. I definitely underestimated what was involved."

I'd like to know too. I am sure my grandsons would love to sit in front and watch (ok, I'd like to watch it too!)
