Glen Burnie Teen Faces Charges in Severn Shooting
Police said Lorenzo Derrick Hall, 19, shot at another man and then stole his car. He had been arrested last month on assault and handgun-related charges.
A Glen Burnie teen is in police custody for the second time in less than a month after Anne Arundel County police charged him in connection with a shooting incident Monday morning in Severn, authorities said.
Police arrested Lorenzo Derrick Hall, 19, and charged him with attempted murder and other offenses after they say he shot at another man, stole his car and drove away.
According to a police press release, officers responded at about 2 a.m. Monday to the 1700 block of Severn Road. Witnesses told police that two men entered the backyard area of the house and announced a robbery. They said one of the men shot at a 19-year-old man but missed, then both suspects got into the victim’s car and drove away.
Police said they broadcast an alert for the car and officers found it on Donaldson Avenue. Witnesses allegedly identified Hall as the driver and the shooter, police said.
Police said they are continuing to investigate the incident, as well as the identity of the second suspect.
Hall has been charged with attempted second-degree murder, robbery, armed robbery, reckless endangerment, unlawful taking of a motor vehicle and numerous handgun offenses.
Hall had previously been arrested last month on assault and handgun-related charges. Police said he fired a gun into the air during a stabbing incident on May 26. He was free on bond.

As predicted, Cordish's handhsake deal with Leopold is already having a terrible affect on the local community. Just like any other casino town, the thugs move in right behind.

Had he NOT been free on bond this would not have happened. Why was he out on bond Judge when at that time he was clearly a teen with a huge problem ... he had a handgun May 26 and was at a stabbing incident!! Obviosly he was in trouble then! Has nothing to do with the city it says he is a Glen Burnie teen - parents every place need to work harder these days to keep their kids out of trouble whether it is the city or the suburbs. Judges need to do their jobs by protecting us and steering criminals towards a either a better path or life in the jail.

Hopefully they KEEP him incarcerated this time since he obviously is too violent to live in the community without being a danger to others.

Hall's bond was set at $50,000.00 in the May 26th case - he posted bond and was released (that would be about $5,000). Obviously, he is not from a family with no means.

I spoke with some kids who know Hall. He has been known to rob others but not been caught so far. Who was the judge who let him out and almost got another kid killed.
And why is there a difference between murder and attempted murder. You get a lighter penalty just because you are a lousy aim ?!

I know 100% its the parents, but your enviroment plays a huge part, its influence. yes hes a Glen Burnie teen, look at how far downhill Glen Burnie is. All the apartments , an HUD homes, what do you think those things bring. Not everyone who lives in a apartment( I have),or section 8 housing are morally just JACKED up. but it only takes a few...yes the city brings violence, messed up kids now in the suburbs. parents parents yes its there fault, but dont try and say that where you come from has no play...Glen Burnie is horrible now, dont lie to yourself or anyone else on this page,it is...The cost of housing went down bringing in people that you dont want..face it...You will never see these kind of things in high end areas,why?...easy they cant afford to live there...Davidsonville, Clarksville, etc. If its 1/2 million bet your ass the violence is on the outskirts...just saying
