Five Arundel Sporting Events of the Week
Basketball, swimming, wrestling and track are all in action.
It's a busy week on the sports front for the Arundel High Wildcats, with most teams in action. Let's take a look at what's on tap.
Track County Championships – Tuesday. Dominique Davis and Alexandra Dystant have been among the top runners and jumpers for Arundel. See how they do against the county’s best at the Prince George’s Sports and Learning Center.
Basketball vs. Chesapeake – Wednesday. Nothing has come easy for the Arundel girls, but the Arundel boys have been on a roll. Both teams should have an easy time against the Cougars.
Basketball at Southern – Friday. The Arundel boys have just one loss in county, but it came against the Bulldawgs back in December. The girls, however, won the first matchup against Southern. These games down in Harwood could be big difference-makers in the race for county titles.
Wrestling vs. Old Mill – Friday. The Wildcats take on a traditional county wrestling powerhouse, and may need an unexpected great performance from one of their younger guys.
Swimming – Saturday. It’s the fifth co-ed meet for the Wildcats as they head to the Annapolis Olympic Swim center for a meet against several county rivals. Meade, Southern, North County, Glen Burnie Old Mill, Chesapeake and Northeast will all be in the pool.
