Fire Hits Home on King Malcolm Avenue

It took 24 firefighters to put out the blaze in a crawl space of a single family home.

 

Firefighters responded Sunday night to a fire at a home on King Malcolm Avenue in Odenton. 

The fire started at about 8:15 p.m. and involved a crawl space in the house, according to Division Chief Keith Swindle, a spokesman for the Anne Arundel County Fire Department. 

It took about 30 minutes for 24 firefighters to get the fire under control. There were no reports of injuries. The cause of the fire remains under investigation and there was no initial damage estimate, Swindle said.
