CVS pharmacy is expected to present rough plans next week for a new store on Annapolis Road, across the street from its existing store in the Odenton Shopping Center.

The Odenton Town Center Plan Oversight Committee is scheduled to review an informal sketch plan for a CVS location at Sappington Station Road and Annapolis Road, in the Odenton Gateway development.

The new CVS would be located alongside a 60,000-square-foot medical building operated by Johns Hopkins and Anne Arundel Health System. About 250 apartments are already under construction on the site.

CVS already operates a store across the street in the Odenton Shopping Center. It is unclear whether the existing store will close.

If it does close, it would represent another vacant store in the Odenton Shopping Center, which already has empty spaces once occupied by the Superfresh store and Spunk Fitness gym.

Also Tuesday, the town center committee is expected to review pre-sketch plans for a renovation of the former Harvest Moon store near the roundabout in east Odenton. According to the agenda for Tuesday’s meeting, the committee will hear from a representative of a motorcycle parts store that is expected to lease the space.

The town center committee also will get an update on plans for new apartments across from the Odenton Volunteer Fire Company, and will discuss nominations for candidates to fill open board positions.
