Cops Release Sketch of Severn Sex Assault Suspect
Police said they are looking for a man in connection with the incident on Jan. 21 in the Severn Square Shopping Center.
Anne Arundel County police released a composite sketch of the man suspected of sexually assaulting a woman in a Severn shopping center last month.
Police distributed a flier to the public Friday with a drawing of the man, who is described as about 40 years old, balding, with a scar on the right side of his face. Police said he may have a "Gage" style earring on his right ear.
Detectives have been looking for the suspect since Jan. 21, when a woman called police to say she was sitting near the "On Target" store in the Severn Square Shopping Center when a man approached her. The woman told police that the man sexually assaulted her and ran off.
The woman offered a description of the suspect, and said he was wearing a blue or black "puffy" jacket with dark blue jeans and black sneakers.
Anyone with information regarding the incident or any similar cases is asked to contact Detective J.R. Hartzell of the Anne Arundel County Police Department at 410-222-3416.
