Regardless of your religious beliefs, you have to hand it to the people who write the clever slogans on signs outside the churches in our area.

I came across this clever sign when driving by the Arundel Baptist Church in Gambrills on Wednesday afternoon.

Of course, I hate to be the one to point out that Coca-Cola calls itself "The Real Thing," not the "real deal." But I get the point.

This does raise some rather serious questions, though.

If Jesus is like Coca-Cola, does that make Pepsi akin to something less holy?

And if Jesus is the King of Kings, then shouldn't Royal Crown be his cola of choice?

I drink a lot of Dr. Pepper, so what does that say about me?

Perhaps I am over-analyzing this.
