The local chapter of Business Networking International will host a visitor's day on March 6, as part of an effort to attact new members.

The Odenton/Fort Meade Chapter of BNI will host Maryland Executive Direcor Jerry Schwartz during the session, which runs from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Perry's Restaurant in Odenton.

Members are encouraged to bring guests to the lunch.

"Although our chapter is always seeking new members, the visitor's day is a concentrated effort to attract prospective members," BNI chapter president Gregg Mazzella said.

BNI is a networking group that meets each week to encourage business referrals and support. It generally seeks one member from each business segment. According to its website, the Odenton/Fort Meade chapter is currently seeking representatives from the following professions: salon, home inspector, auto detail, pest control, telecommunications, cleaning service, caterer, commercial printer, office funiture, chiropractor, wedding planner, plumber and electrician.
