7-Year-Old Boy Seriously Injured in Crash

Police said a 7-year-old boy suffered life-threatening injuries in a crash on Casuarina Way.

A 7-year-old boy is in serious condition after he suffered life-threatening injuries in a car accident in Odenton on Tuesday night.

According to a police press release, officers received a report of a crash at 10 p.m. on Tuesday. Police said an Acura struck a parked tow truck on Casuarina Way near the intersection of Spring Meadow Way in Odenton.

The front-seat passenger, a 7-year-old boy, sustained a severe head injury in the crash. He was transported to Johns Hopkins Children’s Center in critical condition, according to the release.

The driver of the Acura was uninjured.

According to police, preliminary evidence indicated that alcohol and driver fatigue were contributing factors. The driver was transported to the Western District Police Station for a mandatory breathalyzer test.

Completely unnecessary to post information about someones past. Lisa was at a family function less than and hour before this accident occurred and was completely fine. She passed the breathalyzer test and was released to be with her son which the news failed to update. She is a good mother to her 2 children who does not deserve her past posted for all to judge by a complete stranger. Shame on you for prying.

She's a drug dealer. Get her out of Piney Orchard! My thoughts and prayers go out to the little boy. How is he doing?

It is only "deformation" (LOL...nobody ever said drug dealers were smot) if it is not a true statement. According to my calculations, this young lady was charged with a whole battery of drug related crimes on March 21, 2002, including possession of CDS with intent to distribute. She was convicted of possession of CDS on June 14, 2002 and received a 6-month suspended sentence. The distribution charges were dropped as part of a plea bargain. Her lawyer in those cases was Eileen Reilly, who interestingly enough is now a District Court Judge. She has also been convicted of several other charges that are common amongst drug users and dealers...theft and uttering to be exact. BTW, I'm still looking in Black's Law Dictionary to find out exactly what deformation is...can't seem to find it ANYWHERE.

Regardless of her prior convictions (if it is true that she has any), she allowed her child to be put in the front seat of the car. If he had been put in his booster seat in the back, he wouldn't be in critical care. Sorry to hear that this little boy will be going through many weeks of healing when he should be home playing with his Christmas gifts.

Does anyone know how this little boy is doing? If Momma is guilty of something, time will tell and until then let's be concerned with the little boy who is in trouble.

I don't see one single mention in the posts above about alcohol or drinking. No one here ever accused this woman of not being sober. Why are you making an argument against an accusation that has never been made, while completely avoiding the real accusation that has been made against this woman?

Quote from the above article:
"According to police, preliminary evidence indicated that alcohol and driver fatigue were contributing factors"

So all of the commenters who have posted here and on articles on other news sources who are fussing at the media have it wrong. It was the POLICE who indicated a preliminary contributing factor of alcohol.
The media report what the POLICE tell them.

Ah yes, I'd forgotten that the article mentioned this since I'd originally read it back on Dec. 26. Definitely seems like her supporters are fussing at the wrong people.

Most people are concerned about the little boy not the mother. She will have her own problems to deal with emotionally.

Hello, I am Lisa Middledorf and I have not had time until now to pay any attention to all of this hoopla, I've been busy caring for my son, and not that it's anyone's business but for those who truly care and are concerned he is doing great and has made a full recovery thank god!! As for my past, yes it sucks but I'm clean now and have been for quite some time, currently enrolled in college to be a drug counselor and for the record I was also given a surprise drug test and guess what...CLEAN! My son is in my custody and is great. As for him being in the front seat, a one time mistake I will forever be haunted by and regretful for, I'm known to my friends as the car seat nazi, it was a terrible decision and when he asked if he could and I replied "ehhhh, I don't know buddy" then I said "it's only 10 minutes down the road, this one time won't hurt".

I couldn't have been more wrong and will forever thank god and all the wonderful doctors at Hopkins for saving my lil boy. Like I said most important thing is my son and that he is ok, he's come a long way and I was told about all the terrible things being written about me but I really could have cared less at the time considering my sons life was hanging in the balance. For those of you who truly know me and defended me through all of this thank you, and I love you. For those who don't know me but concentrated on praying for my son instead of gossiping about me about me, I'm forever great full to you as we'll. for those who don't know me and judged me based on my past, I forgive you and can even kind of understand, I'm just glad that I do not carry that much hate in my heart and do not judge others in the way I have been judged.

Lisa - Thank you for posting a follow up and letting everyone know that you and your son are OK. And I do apologize for whatever judgment came through in my posts. It would appear you have a level head on your shoulders since you are able to express such charitable feelings toward those who have judged you harshly.
