$1,000 Reward Offered for Missing Dog

The owner of Winston, a bulldog puppy, continues to seek the public's help in finding him one month after he disappeared in Odenton.
Winston was last seen in the area of Patuxent Ponds Park in south Odenton on Jan. 16. There is a $1,000 reward for anyone who can bring him home.
Caitlin McKenna, the dog's owner, said there are indications Winston may have been stolen. She has sought the public's help by setting up a new "Bring Winston Home" Facebook page.
McKenna said Winston had surgery shortly before he disappeared and was on medication.

hopefully he has a microchip. the vet or animal control can check it to see who he belongs to.

Hi Judi! MIcrochipps are a great device and I am happy to say Winston is microchipped. I am hope every day if someone has him or sees him they do the right thing by taking him to be scanned or calling me at 443-995-2847. I have two furballs of my own, and my heart goes out to you. People who see pets as "things" that are no more precious to their owners than a GPS or an iPod--and therefore are fair game to be stolen--belong in a special circle of hell. Having a dog stolen is like having a child kidnapped--whether parents bristle at that analogy or not. I do the same things for my dogs that other people do for their children: I feed and house and love and nurture and train and play with them, talk to them, and get annoyed with and worried about them. I take them for regular checkups. I know their moods and personalities, and I can tell when they're "lying" to me or being sneaky. I can't stay out late or leave town without making arrangements for them to be taken care of. They are as much a part of my life as two children would be, and I'm sure Winston is as precious to you. I hope someone gets him safely home very soon, Caitlin!
