Pack 769 has Zoo Blue and Gold Celebration
Cub Scout Pack 769 held its annual Blue and Gold Celebration at Nichols Bethel United Methodist Church on February 23. There was a full house participating in the zoo theme complete with a handmade enclosure for all the "animals". Each den provided table decorations for their rank and Webs chose Lions and Platypus. Each den also provided entertainment to the crowd by performing skits. There was much laughter in the house with the cub scout sized performers. Each scout had the opportunity to make and laminate a placemat and there were lots of zoo themed activity pages to keep everyone busy. John McConville of Troop 769 presented information on Friends of Scouting and over $700 was donated. Two scouts, Ian Dinmore and Parker Vogel achieved the Arrow of Light Award. They also received the Super Achiever award for completing all 20 of the activity badges. Congratulations to both boys for the hard work. Cubmaster, Marc Limansky, had a very nice candle lighting ceremony recognizing the two boys. After all the awards were finished, the celebration of scouting continued with cake and punch which was served by the Troop 769 scouts and leaders. There was a huge show of these older scouts helping their younger counterparts. Thank you to Troop 769 for their help with greeting and program placement, cake and punch service, and the all important clean up! On behalf of the Dinmore and Vogel family I would like to thank Pack 769 for their support, guidance, care, and love of our families over these last years. It has been a privilege to work with you all and we wish continued success for the pack!
